Why your company needs a website

Up until about 10 years ago, you could have a business and not have a website. People might think you were “old school” but they wouldn’t question your credibility. Nowadays, if you don’t have a site, not only will you NOT get business online, people will actually question your business’ legitimacy.

Showcasing your brand to your prospective customers is one of the most important things that you can do. By clearly establishing who you are, what you represent and what you stand for, you increase the chances of your customers buying from you.

This is also something that can set you apart from your competitors. Without a website, it can be incredibly challenging to do this because people can’t easily find quality and reliable information on your business.

Without a website, your business is virtually invisible to these people. With COVID-19 pushing the global market even more digital, your business will become invisible to those that matter unless you invest in a website.

In the landscaping industry, the market size by revenue is measured to be &115.6bn in 2022, a $10bn increase from 2021. Average industry growth stands at 4.7% per year. Top challenges within the landscaping industry include staying price-competitive and building a consistent customer base.

With over 4.5 billion active internet users worldwide, and over 90% of them accessing the Internet via mobile devices, your site must be mobile responsive, have an attractive, easy-to-use interface, and provide value. Potential clients are searching for you, and with such a competitive industry, keeping customers on your website and intrigued is as important as ever.

Why that website needs UX

UX refers to how a user feels, thinks, and acts when interacting with a company’s website, services, and/or products. When you prioritize UX, you’re doing everything you can to provide a positive experience for visitors. This means ensuring visitors can easily navigate your website, find the information or products they are looking for, and engage comfortably, whether that means contacting you quickly or easily making a purchase.

At its core, website UX is a form of customer service. Effective UX design anticipates the website users’ pain points and provides a solution. Pinpointing problems that your website customer needs to solve creates value. How will the design of your website make it smooth and seamless for the user to reach their desired result? Losing a sale because of bad UX is more common than you think.

Unlike brick-and-mortar businesses where a customer is greeted personally, can ask questions face-to-face, and gets hands-on time with products, your website has to act as your sales representative. Your home page greets a visitor and your site’s layout and content should answer any questions your customer has while providing instruction as to what the next step is, all while setting a tone reflective of your business.

When a visitor has a good experience on your website, there is a greater chance that that visitor will become a loyal customer.

In case you’re still not convinced, here are a few more reasons to understand the importance of UX in your web design:

1. Increased website conversion rates

A well-designed user experience can boost conversion rates by up to 400%.

It has been demonstrated that a website’s improved usability and accessibility have a significant impact on consumer satisfaction. The readiness and resistance of visitors to purchase your goods or services can both be increased and decreased by a thoughtfully designed user experience.

2. Improved SEO

Headings, site navigation, and page/content/image load times are among the components that combine UX with SEO. To compete in the market, all components must adhere to the most recent market trends and algorithms. In order to fully engage visitors, it also demands qualitative, reliable, and pertinent outcomes.

3. Increased business credibility

The majority of customers look around for a while before deciding to trust a business and make a purchase of a good or service. For organizations, especially those that are new to the market, increasing client involvement or building credibility is not always straightforward.

Acquiring credibility has a significant impact on increasing leads and sales. Therefore, working with an experienced UX design agency will help you achieve your ultimate objectives by retaining and attracting new customers. It takes time and effort to earn the trust of clients.
