What’s Your Launch Strategy?

The concept of launching is something that has been a part of my life for many years. It was such a part of what I do that I almost didn’t know what to call it. It took me years of working with clients to figure out that the way I worked on branding and web design was different from the way others approached this type of work. When I work with my clients I don’t just design something and then release it to the client. The social researcher in me wanted to know where it fit into the entire customer journey. I’m interested in the touchpoints of your customer’s journey and where the project I’m responsible for creating fits in. From the initial awareness of the brand to becoming a raving fan. My work as a user experience (UX) designer informs how I work with customers and leads me to probe beyond the task I am usually hired to create. I care about how the logo we design will be used to grow your brand. I care about who your customers are and what we need to do to create resonance with them. I care about the full customer experience.

As you can see there are lots to think about and to decide on and instead of waiting until you are in the thick of it, it’s best to plan out what launching looks like for you.

Well, this sequence is called the Launch Strategy and it was created by Jeff Walker. Anyone who is launching anything probably uses it and it works. In addition, to getting familiar with the launch strategy there are two other books which have greatly impacted how I support my clients during a launch, The Four Agreements, and Blue Ocean Strategy.
